Todd Neiss

Bigfoot witness-turned-researcher, Todd M. Neiss has been an active investigator for over 30 years. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, he grew up hearing of these legendary creatures, alternately known as Bigfoot or Sasquatch, but gave it little credibility beyond that of an urban legend or just a good old-fashioned campfire tale designed to frighten young campers. All of that changed for Todd in the spring of 1993. As a Sergeant in the Army's 1249th Combat Engineer Battalion, he came face to face with, not one, but three of the elusive giants in the temperate rain forest of Oregon's Coast Range while conducting high-explosives training. His sighting was independently corroborated by three fellow soldiers who also witnessed these creatures. Since that fateful day, Neiss has conducted numerous investigations including several long-term expeditions in the Coastal, Cascade and Blue Mountain Ranges of Oregon & Washington, as

well as Northern California, Arizona, Alaska, Ohio, Nebraska, Arkansas, Oklahoma and British Columbia. Todd believes that, in the tradition of Jane Goodall, Biruté Galdikas and Diane Fossey, the best way to obtain credible evidence of the existence of these fascinating beings is to insert a small research team into the heart of prime Bigfoot habitat for an extended period of time; ideally for 45 to 60-day rotations. In doing so, he hopes to acclimatize the creatures to their presence and eventually overcome their inherent apprehension of humans.

David Shealy

Skunk Ape Expert' David Shealy is the founder of the ‘Skunk Ape Research Headquarters’ in Ochopee, Florida and had his first encounter with the Skunk Ape back in 1974, when he was just 10 years old. He bases his research operation out of his headquarters, which is located at 40904 Tamiami Trail in Ochopee, Florida. It is here in the depths of the Everglades, where David Shealy has dedicated his life to studying the smelly, elusive Skunk Ape. Dave Shealy’s family has lived in the Everglades for generations. They first settled there in 1891, built the first local schoolhouse and spent the next handful of decades giving swamp tours and renting out camping spots. The Shealy’s time in the Everglades, though, is just a fraction of time compared to how long the notorious Skunk Ape has purportedly stalked the swamplands. David has had 4 Skunk Ape sightings throughout his life in the Big Cypress Preserve and captured one of them on film on July 8, 2000 quickly moving through the deep water in a sawgrass marsh. David Shealy has been featured on many TV and radio shows, newspapers, magazines, podcasts and documentaries for his Skunk Ape expertise and dedication to research. David works closely with the Mid Florida Bigfoot Research Team and conducts Bigfoot and Skunk Ape research with them, whenever possible.

Kristi Sanders

Kristi discovered her fascination for Bigfoot  while watching a MonterQuest episode filmed in the Portland/Southern Washington area, an area an area she frequented on family camping trips as a child.

Realizing she had seen the tree break and bedding areas on these trips she called her husband and asked, "Ever heard of a Sasquatch?" His reply - "Yeah, I had a face-to-face encounter as a boy [in Estacada]" - would set her future course; she was hooked.

Grabbing her kids, she immediately drove with them to the snowy Mount St Helens area in Washington. On a random snow-covered hill, she found a string of prints leading them off the mountain into a marsh.

Volunteering for the BFRO taught her how to use the scientific method (including self-skepticism and debunking) and various equipment to bring professionalism to her efforts. She has brought her skills and experience to Blue Mountain Bigfoot Research, realizing that classification will take a group effort and more than just "hoping somebody else does it."

She very much loves the Pacific Northwest and is a passionate cramper, hunter, and backpacker.

When not looking for Bigfoot, Kristi is an international continuing education instructor for veterinarians, medical doctors, doctors of osteopathy, and dentists.
